Always one to prefer working behind the scenes to make others look good, I was approached by Kevin and Kristen Adam after one of their travels where they saw an event painter working on-site DURING the event.
Kevin is a financial advisor in Columbia, MO and was having a client appreciation luncheon at the Country Club of Missouri early 2015. They called me asking me to paint during the luncheon. I thought - I KNEW - they were crazy, you couldn't complete a painting that fast, during lunch... MAYBE 90 minutes? They confirmed that it was indeed possible and they were asking me (since I've rarely said no to their awesome crazy creative challenges they've approached me with) to be a part of their plans. We decided I'd collage some local well-known landmarks on canvas.
So I arrived as the clients were arriving, my iPad loaded with visuals to work from, and I painted. As fast as I could. And it got done. And awarded to a sweet sould willing to take home a still-wet freshly-painted canvas... I was so crazed I didn't event take a picture. But I've posted here a similar one I created a couple months later for the Pascale's Pals fundraiser and auction.
And it began. When people see the painting evolve during the event, they start thinking of ways to put this type of entertainment to work to give to others, surprise newlyweds, raise money.... I'm in love.
Lover of the life experience, the live experience and the challenge to capture it.
